Abdulla Mohammed Al Zamil, Chief Executive Officer, Zamil Industrial, has been selected to appear on the Power 100, a list of top businessmen in the Gulf construction industry compiled by the trade publication Construction Week.
Part of the small group of elite decision makers at one of Saudi Arabia’s largest companies, Abdulla M. Al Zamil is the man in charge of one of the most prestigious conglomerates in the region, and reliable leader in the company’s intense competition for market share in the steel, air conditioning, glass, insulation and concrete industries.
In addition to leading the company as CEO since October 2009, Abdulla Al Zamil is also a board member as well as a member of the executive committee. During his tenure, he has supervised the growth in capacity for various company business and production lines, and directed the restructuring of Zamil Steel and Zamil Air Conditioners into limited liability companies. He is also an influential member of the Executive Board of Saudi Export Development Center (SEDC).
Abdulla Al Zamil serves on the boards of many of the sector businesses of Zamil Industrial, as well as that of the company’s many joint ventures. He is a graduate in industrial engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle, US, and has earned an MBA in Finance and Business Administration from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
